Future First Lady Praises PM Hun Sen’s Care for the People

PHNOM PENH: Future first lady and Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, Pich Chanmony, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, the interests of the people have always been taken into account and there has always been a high regard for infrastructure through road construction, making it easier for all Cambodians to travel their country.

On August 3, Pich Chanmony met with 81 grandparents at the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) to donate clothes, food and money. She also brought greetings from Prime Minister Hun Sen and first lady Bun Rany, whom she said both care about the well-being of the people at all levels.

She said that as the government passes from one mandate to another, it will always take care of the welfare of the elderly through the programs of ministries, institutions and the humanitarian programs of philanthropists.

The grandmothers expressed their deep gratitude for the gifts which will alleviate their hardships and daily expenses at the Pchum Ben festival approaches in October. She asked that the elderly take care of their health so that they can continue to see the development and progress under the leadership of the Royal Government.

Pich Chanmony praised the CCF for contributing to the lives of Cambodians in need, especially to children who are abandoned or unplanned. The CCF was established in 2004 by Scott Neeson and has continued to grow and provide education and livelihoods to thousands of Cambodian families.
